Our Mission:
to Support, Connect and Partner WITH EDUCATORS TO HELP BRING THEIR CLASSROOMS OUTSIDE
Inside-Outside formed in response to a growing interest in nature-based education and using nature for teaching and learning. Our purpose is to develop and connect a network of educators and educational institutions throughout the United States, gather and share resources, and to confidently, safely and joyfully venture outdoors with children.
"Nature-based early childhood educators have been asking for opportunities to share with each other! This is the place!" - Peg Smeltz, Antioch University

What We've Achieved:
Our first gathering was on April 12, 2018 & we have been meeting regularly since.
In 3 years we have grown from 10 members to over 510 members!
We have 17 active Local Chapters expanding from the Northeast to the Midwest and continually growing.
Nature-based educators are supporting and encouraging one another, sharing ideas and resources, and inspiring teaching & learning outdoors.
